Guy Clark – Black Diamond Strings

I WAS RESTRINGING A COUPLE OF GUITARS. A NON ELECTRONICS CLASSICAL & A  NON ELECTRONICS CEADAR TOPPED STEEL STRINGED SIX STRING ACOUSTIC. ON THE STEEL STRING, STRETCHING THE G STRING I POPPED IT. HAD TO DIG IN MY SPARES FROM OTHER SETS CANNIBALIZED  TO REPLACE POPPED STRINGS.

IF THEY HAD BEEN BLACK DIAMOND STRINGS IT WOULD NOT HAVE BROKE.

BLACK DIAMOND STRINGS DID NOT OFTEN BRAKE, BUT THEY WERE ROUGH ON THE FINGERS. ONE DEVELOPED VERY TOUGH CALLOUSES PICKING A GUITAR WITH BLACK DIAMOND STRINGS.

I MISS OLE GUY, THANK GOD TEXICANS STILL HAVE HIS MUSIC.

The Ole Dog!
